Trusted by local families

“My child can’t wait for the next camp.”

Urban Unity Community Trust has run programmes for young people in our area for years (formerly Hadleigh Road Community Trust).

Parents tell us their children come home tired, happy and more confident after a day at camp.

“As a working parent, the camp has been a lifesaver. I know my son is safe, active and around positive role models while I’m at work.”

Amira, parent of 9-year-old

“My daughter is usually shy, but by the end of the week she had made new friends and was leading games. The staff really encouraged her.”

James, parent of 7-year-old

“The HAF-funded places meant we could send both children. They loved the hot meals and trying new sports we couldn’t normally afford.”

Questions parents often ask

Holiday camp FAQs

If you can’t see the answer you need, please email or call the Urban Unity Community Trust team and we’ll be happy to help.

What should my child bring to camp?

Please send your child with a refillable water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing (including a coat or sunhat), any medication they may need with written instructions and a packed lunch. We recommend labelling all items with their name.

Are staff trained and DBS-checked?

Yes. All staff and volunteers working on our holiday camps are enhanced DBS-checked and receive training in safeguarding, first aid, behaviour support and inclusive practice. Many are qualified sports coaches.

My child has additional needs – can they attend?

We welcome children with additional needs wherever we can safely support them. Please share as much information as possible on the registration form. A member of our team may contact you before camp to discuss any adjustments or additional support required.

How do HAF-funded places work?

We are currently working with the local council to be able to offer fully funded placements to children/ families who meet the eligibility criteria.

When do I pay and what is the refund policy?

Paid bookings are confirmed once payment is made securely online. For most sites, cancellations made at least 7 days before the first day of camp can be refunded or transferred, subject to availability. Full details are provided during the booking process.
